Editorial policy
Who writes here, how we establish facts, how the site makes money, what we will not do for money, and how to get something corrected.

This policy governs everything published on valteris.online. It is written to be checkable: if we break it, you can point at the paragraph.
Who writes here
Articles on this site are written and edited by Barbara Miller, who is the responsible editor and director of publication for valteris.online. Every article carries that byline and a publication date. The site is published by DER MONEY s.r.o., Radlická 2343/48, Smíchov, 150 00 Praha 5, Czech Republic. Full identification details are in the legal notice.
There is no anonymous copy on this site. If a page is not signed, it is a legal or informational page published by the company itself, and the company’s details are in the footer of every page.
How facts are established and sourced
We work from primary sources: vendor documentation and contractual terms, the published output of independent testing organisations, platform vendors’ own security documentation, and the text of the applicable EU legislation. Sources are named and linked at the foot of each article so you can check the claim rather than trust us.
Where a claim comes from the seller and has not been independently verified, we attribute it to the seller in the sentence itself. Where we could not establish something, we say so instead of guessing. The detailed classification scheme is on the how we review page.
Precedence. For any commercial fact — price, plan name, device limit, feature availability, refund terms — the vendor’s own current information prevails over anything published here.
How this site is funded
valteris.online carries no display advertising, no sponsored-post placements and no paid guest articles. Its only revenue is affiliate commission: if you follow a link marked “partner link” and subsequently subscribe to the vendor’s product, the vendor pays DER MONEY s.r.o. a share.
Three consequences follow, and we state them plainly:
- Your price does not change. The commission is paid by the vendor out of its own margin. Following our link neither adds a surcharge nor unlocks a discount that would otherwise be unavailable.
- We are not neutral, and we do not claim to be. We have a financial interest in you subscribing. The honest response to that is not to claim independence we do not have, but to disclose it at the top of every page, to label every commercial link, and to keep the reasons not to buy in the article.
- We are not told who you are. We receive aggregate payout reporting from the partner programme. We do not receive, and do not want, your identity or your purchase details. This site collects nothing about you at all — see the cookie policy.
What we refuse to do
These are commitments, not aspirations. Each one is a practice common in affiliate publishing that we have decided against.
No invented testimonials
No “reader stories”, no user quotes we did not obtain, no case studies about people who do not exist. The previous version of this site used a “reader-submitted” framing; it was removed for exactly this reason.
No invented ratings
No stars, no scores out of ten, no “Editor’s Choice” badge, no award from a body that cannot be looked up. We have not run the tests that would entitle us to a score.
No artificial urgency
No countdown timers, no “only 3 licences left”, no fake deadlines, no expiry warnings that reset on reload.
No guaranteed-result claims
No “100% protection”, no “guaranteed removal”, no promise that any product will keep you safe. Security does not work that way and saying otherwise is a lie.
No fake scans or alerts
No page on this site will ever claim to have scanned your device, found infections, or detected a problem. A web page cannot do that, and any page claiming to is deceiving you.
No fabricated numbers
No user counts, benchmark timings, detection percentages or market-share figures that we cannot attribute to a named source. If we cannot source it, it does not appear.
No impersonation
We do not present ourselves as a vendor, a vendor’s support channel, a news organisation, a consumer authority or a testing laboratory. We are an independent affiliate publisher and we say so at the top of every page.
No hidden commercial links
Every commercial link carries a visible “partner link” label at the point of the click and the rel="sponsored nofollow" attributes in the markup.
Advertiser independence
No advertiser, affiliate network or commercial partner has any influence over editorial content on this site. Specifically:
- No partner receives an article before publication.
- No partner has approval rights over wording, structure, ordering or conclusions.
- No partner can require the removal of a critical statement, and none has asked.
- Commission rates do not determine what we write. Where we recommend against buying, that recommendation stays in the article regardless of its effect on revenue.
- We do not accept payment for a favourable review, for a placement in a ranking, or for the removal of criticism.
If a partner ever made continued participation conditional on changing editorial content, we would end the relationship and say so on this page.
Trademarks and third-party brands
Product and company names used on this site are the trademarks of their respective owners and are used for identification, description and commentary only. valteris.online and DER MONEY s.r.o. are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or otherwise connected to TotalAV, Protected.net, Microsoft, Apple, AV-TEST, AV-Comparatives or any other organisation named here. We use no vendor logos, product screenshots or vendor artwork; every illustration on this site is an original diagram we drew ourselves.
Corrections procedure
We will get things wrong. The procedure when we do:
- Tell us. Write to info@valteris.online with the page address and the statement you believe is incorrect. Evidence helps but is not required.
- We respond. We aim to acknowledge within five working days and to resolve within thirty.
- We fix, or we explain. If you are right, we correct the page and update its last-reviewed date. If we disagree, we tell you why rather than ignoring you.
- Material corrections are disclosed. Where a correction changes the substance of a claim, we record it visibly on the page rather than editing silently. The main article carries a table of the claims removed from its previous version and the reason for each.
- Vendors get the same route. If a vendor believes we have described its product incorrectly, the same email address applies. Correction of a factual error is not conditional on any commercial relationship.
Disclosure about production tools
Drafting and editing tools, including automated ones, may be used in producing pages on this site. Responsibility for everything published is human and rests with the responsible editor named above. Sources are checked by a person before publication, and a tool is never the authority for a factual claim.
